Qmed's new user experience will allow medical device manufacturers to more efficiently research, identify, and select qualified suppliers during the product design cycle, as well as stay connected to the industry with the latest medtech news and information.

"We know how extremely important it is for OEMs to find qualified suppliers for their medical device products. The new Qmed interface and functionality provides users with clearly identified supplier qualifications and is visible on the home page, search results, and supplier pages," stated Tim Simone, Qmed Brand Director. "We also made our wide range of resources, including industry news and editorial content, a central focus with easy and fast navigation throughout the entire site."

The now streamlined navigation bar and enhanced search functionality allows Qmed users to easily find more information about each qualified supplier including: the markets they serve, technical abilities, quality control, and certifications, as well as the ability to quickly access resources such as white papers, videos, news stories, product categories, and other company information.

New social media capabilities have also been introduced. Users can now like a listing on Facebook, Twitter, and share on LinkedIn. Users can also sign-up for Qmed alerts delivered via email, add a listing as a favorite, and email a listing to a friend or colleague.

"Our commitment to the medical engineering community remains that Qmed will continue to provide the most comprehensive and efficient supplier-sourcing experience for medical device OEMs," said Simone. "These augmentations represent the immense importance we place on providing users with the resources and tools to help them quickly and effectively source qualified suppliers and find the information they need."

Qmed launched in April 2010 and has become the main connection point for medical device manufacturers as proven by its up to 73,000 unique visitors per month, and over 500,000 unique page views per year. Qmed focuses on building the most robust, content-rich platform for OEMs and qualified medical device suppliers by enhancing search capabilities and developing tools that efficiently create business connections for the medtech industry.
