Comment favoriser l'innovation en période d'austérité ? Qui la finance ? Le manque de fonds encourage-t-il l'inventivité ou entrave-t-il l'innovation du fait que tout le monde préfère jouer la sécurité ? Qu'en est-il des innovateurs de demain ? En faisons-nous assez pour encourager et soutenir les talents ?

Dans un contexte économique défavorable, l'innovation ne peut être sacrifiée. Il s'agit du poumon de la science, de la technologie et de l'économie. Il est urgent de mettre l'accent sur la meilleure façon dont nous pouvons promouvoir et favoriser l'innovation, que ce soit aujourd'hui ou demain.

C'est pourquoi l'édition 2012 du débat sur l'innovation, organisée et financée par Astellas Pharma Europe Ltd. et qui se tiendra à la Royal Society le 20 novembre 2012 à 16 h, réunira des personnalités influentes et respectées issues de milieux aussi variés que la science, la technologie, la médecine, l'ingénierie, l'éducation, le secteur public, l'industrie et les médias pour débattre sur le meilleur moyen d'encourager et de favoriser l'innovation scientifique.
