Laser Spine Institute Directors And Surgeon Publish Case Study
Date:3/30/2011

TAMPA, Fla., March 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Bill Horne, CEO of Laser Spine Institute (http://www.laserspineinstitute.com), the leader in endoscopic spine surgery, has announced that John A. Polikandriotis Ph.D. MBA, senior director of strategic initiatives, Dr. Michael W. Perry, medical director, and Dr. Vernon R. Morris, spine surgeon, have been published in the April edition of the Journal of Musculoskeletal Medicine. The peer reviewed study, titled "Surgery without Instrumentation for Spondylolisthesis-Related Stenosis," details an experience with a patient who was recommended for a fusion by multiple surgeons, yet was hesitant to have major open surgery. The patient, who was suffering from back pain, leg pain, weakness and numbness, opted for Laser Spine Institute's minimally invasive endoscopic procedure in an outpatient setting, resulting in complete resolution of pain and a quick return to normal physical activity. The case was studied over the preoperative and 16-month postoperative period

QUOTES:

"We are proud to announce the publication of this case study in the Journal of Musculoskeletal Medicine," said Horne. "It highlights the reason that patients choose Laser Spine Institute's endoscopic procedure over traditional surgery – minimally invasive surgery, significant reduction in postoperative pain and disability, and quick recovery times."

"We are pleased that the Journal of Musculoskeletal Medicine has published our patient study," said Dr. Perry. "This study is an excellent example of the innovative procedure Laser Spine Institute offers to patients, and the increased quality of life that we can provide for them."
