Kansas City Dentist Launches Healthcare Scrubs Line
Date:12/17/2013

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Dec. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- TiScrubs® today announced the launch of its new line of healthcare scrubs. TiScrubs fill an unmet need in the medical apparel landscape by combining athletic materials with the utility of antimicrobial and hydro-wicking properties.

Founder and co-owner Bill Busch, DMD, MAGD, conceptualized TiScrubs while working at a charity dental care event with the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs. As a dental professional, he said he wanted to make the children served feel comfortable to receive dental care.

"I put together a set of scrubs that was a cross between athletic apparel and traditional medical scrubs," Busch said. "The kids responded better to that and were less intimidated. But more surprisingly, other dental professionals at the event began to ask me where I got them."

The design of TiScrubs was focused on utility, comfort and durability said Busch. With additional pockets from traditional scrubs, performance-wear material and long-lasting qualities, he says they are strong and lightweight like titanium. Plus, a portion of the proceeds from every sale is donated to TeamSmile®, the organization that first inspired the creation of TiScrubs.

As of today, TiScrubs are available nationally on the website tiscrubs.com. The company is also looking to expand into brick and mortar stores in the future.

"Healthcare professionals deserve to be comfortable," Busch said. "I think TiScrubs can do that and make them feel good about themselves in the process."
