Kaiser Permanente Ranks Highest in 2012 J.D. Power and Associates Employer Satisfaction Study for Second Year in a Row
Date:7/2/2012

OAKLAND, Calif., July 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Kaiser Permanente announced today that employers ranked the organization's health plan the highest for two consecutive years among fully insured commercial health plans in the J.D. Power and Associates 2012 U.S. Employer Health Insurance Plan Study(SM). The organization received high marks in key factors that affect employer satisfaction such as account servicing, problem resolution, program offerings, cost and employee plan service experience.

Based on a 1,000 point scale, Kaiser Permanente received 716 points — two points over last year and well above the overall satisfaction index average of 672.

"We are honored to have received this acknowledgement two years in a row. It is gratifying to know that our continued focus on these key service factors is recognized by the employer group customers we serve," said Arthur M. Southam, MD, executive vice president, Health Plan Operations, Kaiser Permanente. "We remain dedicated to providing value in terms of cost, quality care and superior service to employer groups and their employees."

For more than 60 years, employers have relied on Kaiser Permanente's integrated care delivery system to provide preventive services to keep employees healthy and to ensure specialized, cutting-edge treatment when members suffer from serious or chronic illnesses. Today, Kaiser Permanente continues to partner with thousands of employers to address the health of their workforce — with benefit plans that offer preventive care, early intervention and integrated chronic condition management — along with tools, programs and resources that encourage healthy employee lifestyles and help employers manage related costs.

"Our integrated care model and advanced electronic technology allows us to put patients and members at the center of all we do and help them proactively manage their care," said Christine Paige, PhD, senior vice president, Marketing
