Journal ONCOLOGY and CancerNetwork Now Bringing Readers Select ACR Appropriateness Criteria

NORWALK, Conn., Aug. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM Medica US announces that starting with its August issue, the journal ONCOLOGY will offer its readers, once every quarter, the valuable resource of the American College of Radiology (ACR) Appropriateness Criteria. The Criteria will both appear in the print journal and be available on the CancerNetwork, the online home of the journal ONCOLOGY.

The ACR Appropriateness Criteria in ONCOLOGY's August issue focus on the management of localized nodal indolent lymphoma. The Criteria are presented in a unique and convenient format, utilizing five case examples (called "variants") of indolent lymphoma, with levels of appropriateness for specific treatment recommendations for each variant.

Known for its practical and authoritative review articles, ONCOLOGY has played an important role in the ongoing education of countless practicing oncologists/hematologists. The quarterly publication of ACR Appropriateness Criteria being inaugurated in the current issue will serve to further enhance the journal's ability to meet the needs of its readership.
