Jardogs Strengthens Leadership Team with the Addition of Two Seasoned Healthcare Executives
Date:12/6/2012

SPRINGFIELD, Ill., Dec. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Jardogs, a leading provider of patient engagement and health management solutions, announced today the addition of two healthcare veterans to its leadership team.  Ken Mikesh joins as Senior Vice President of Strategy & Business Development, and Brenda Stewart joins as Senior Vice President of Marketing.

Mikesh will drive the company's strategic growth and business partnership efforts. With more than 20 years of healthcare experience, he will foster new relationships and develop corporate alliances to expand Jardogs' footprint in the marketplace.  Formerly Senior Vice President of Client Development at MyHealthDIRECT (MHD), Mikesh specialized in corporate strategy, client acquisition and partnership development.  Previously, Ken held leadership roles at RelayHealth, Allscripts and OptimusEMR. Mikesh is an active member of multiple industry groups and associations; as well as several state Health Information Exchanges (HIEs).

Stewart will be responsible for all marketing, communications and public relations initiatives.  As an award-winning executive with expertise in branding and integrated marketing, Stewart has spent more than 15 years in healthcare.  She previously held leadership positions at Merge Healthcare, where she directed the company's internal and external communication activities; Modern Healthcare, where she was responsible for the publication's strategic branding, market research and analysis, special events and advertising; and Allscripts, where she managed media activities, trade shows, public relations and communication.

"One of the biggest healthcare challenges is engaging the patient as an active participant with their care team," said Jim Hewitt, Chief Executive Officer at Jardogs.  "As the industry moves to value-based medicine, the focus is going to shift to improving outcomes via proactive management and patient engagement.
