(ISG), a Hutchinson-based corporation and parent company of Professional Data Services, Inc., (PDS) has acquired Data Strategies, Inc. (DSI) out of Poway, Calif. The acquisition will significantly grow the company's foothold in the electronic health records (EHR) industry and position it as a national player within the ambulatory medical practice community.

"As a company that is always looking to the future, the opportunity to expand was extremely exciting – and having a partner on the Pacific coast, a region steeped in technological innovation, is a huge boost to our business," said Gary Hobbs, president of ISG.
