Innovative BioDefense Introduces Zylast Antiseptic Lotion
Date:7/30/2013

LAKE FOREST, Calif., July 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Innovative BioDefense Inc., the developer of a full product line of Zylast™ antiseptic products for use in healthcare, nursing, food preparation, schools, cruise ships, and homes, introduces Zylast Lotion, available in 2 & 8 oz bottles, or in ADA-approved, wall-mounted dispensers.  Zylast Lotion is protected by patents and other intellectual property and can be viewed at http://bit.ly/12nLtjt

In clinical and laboratory studies, Zylast Lotion has been demonstrated to kill very rapidly a wide spectrum of germs, including E. Coli (99.9999%), S. Aureus (99.9997%), K. Pneumoniae (99.9999%), and S. Pyogenes (99.9999%), while being persistent for six hours after application.  The active ingredient is benzethonium chloride (BZT, 0.2%), together with a proprietary blend of adjuvants that enhance the persistence and rapid kill.  Innovative BioDefense has posted Time-Kill and Persistence papers on its website at www.zylast.com with information on the study results.

Clinical studies have shown that use of Zylast Lotion reduces illness absenteeism in schools by 41.6% among students and 24.7% among teachers and staff.  The Lotion is all-natural, water-based, and Triclosan-free.

"First, the Zylast products are persistent for six hours, so children are protected beyond the 15-second lifespan of an alcohol sanitizer.  Second, the Zylast Lotion is effective against pathogens like the Norovirus, rotavirus, and the common cold – some of the most prevalent diseases among children, and germs against which alcohol sanitizers are relatively ineffective.  Finally, the product is water-based and moisturizes the hands, so children and staff actually like using it, which greatly improves compliance." – Dr. Beth McNichol

Zylast Lotion should be used by healthcare and dental workers, teachers and school personnel, food preparers and servers, parents and in long-term care facilities in order to help assure that harmful bacteria and viruses are killed and the likelihood of contagion reduced.

The retail cost of Zylast Lotion is $71.52 for a case (24 bottles) of 2 ounce bottles or $2.98 a bottle; $106.56 for a case (12) of 8 ounce bottles or $8.88 a bottle; or 178.26 for a case (six) of 1,000 ml (33.8 ounce) cartridges for wall mounting or $29.71 a cartridge. Automatic and manual dispensers are also available.

The product is available for immediate delivery and can be ordered by visiting www.zylastdirect.com.
