"Osteoarthritis affects 27 million American adults, and an estimated one in two people will get symptomatic knee OA in their lifetime*," said Brad Lee, president of Breg. "The new Freestyle OA knee brace was developed to provide a comfortable, easy-to-use, effective option to get patients back to doing the activities they love. This innovative brace is having a significant impact on this large and growing OA market."

The Freestyle™ OA Knee Brace is designed for patients with mild to moderate unicompartmental osteoarthritis. It is the first OA brace that wraps around the patient's knee for easy application. Innovative finger pockets ensure a good grip for a great fit, even in patients with compromised hand dexterity. The brace's easy-to-read thumbwheel lets patients adjust the level of offloading with an effortless turn of the dial.

Other new products:

  • The Ultra Zoom™ Ankle Brace is a full-season performance ankle brace that is lightweight and flexible for daily wear.  It is sturdy enough to reinforce, support and protect the ankle during athletic activities. The brace uses an exclusive and patented Performathane® technology which forms to the ankle for a comfortable and low profile fit.
  • The Ultra High-5™ Ankle Brace features a lightweight, rigid shell and hinged cuff technology designed for anti-rotation and anti-inversion to help patients or athletes recover from high or low ankle injuries.
  • Polar Care® Glacier™ Cold Therapy, the newest addition to Breg's cold therapy line, has the longest ice time of any system on the market today. Designed to balance the needs of the hospital and the patient, Polar Care Glacier requires only one fill per hospital shift, saving staff time and money. Polar Care Glacier features a temperature control dial allowing physicians to individualize protocols, letting patients rest and recover in comfort.
  • Vision™ Advanced Inventory Management, Breg's award-winning software, is now available in version 4.0. With this newest upgrade, Vision goes mobile on Apple's iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices. Vision 4.0 customers can now scan bar codes, enter patient and billing information, capture physician and patient signatures, and email receipts and supplier standard information wirelessly from a handheld device.
