Hyland Software Forms Multi-Disciplinary Clinical Leadership Team to Augment Healthcare Solutions

CLEVELAND, May 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyland Software expands upon its extensive expertise in the healthcare industry by creating the Multi-Disciplinary Clinical Leadership Team. Led by nurses and comprised of a variety of medical experts with diverse healthcare experience, the team will leverage its knowledge of the healthcare industry to create new software solutions that will enhance the clinical experience and meet the specific needs of patients and staff.

Healthcare organizations use OnBase, Hyland Software's enterprise content management (ECM) solution, to integrate with the EMR and provide clinical staff with access to the complete patient record. OnBase assimilates all clinical data in patient medical records, including electronic reports from the laboratory and radiology departments, digital photographs, video files of cardiac catheterizations and audio recordings of heartbeats. The integration with the EMR enables staff members to easily access this content directly from the EMR interface, empowering healthcare providers to deliver superior patient care.

"As Hyland continues to provide solutions that streamline business processes and give greater access to content, the Multi-Disciplinary Clinical Leadership Team will focus on creating solutions that specifically address the challenges that physicians, nurses and ancillary services have in the clinical environment," said Bill Priemer , president and CEO of Hyland Software. "We recognize that our solutions need to do more than benefit the bottom line, they need to meet the needs of the employees and patients who depend on them every day. This team will add invaluable insight that will help us develop solutions that continue to meet the needs of clinical staff."
