Hospital IQ Recognized for Health Administration Innovation in 2020 MedTech Breakthrough Awards Program

MedTech Breakthrough, an independent market intelligence organization that recognizes the top companies, technologies and products in the global health and medical technology market, today announced that Hospital IQ, the leading provider of predictive hospital operations software, has been selected as the winner of its “Health Administration Innovation Award” in the fourth annual MedTech Breakthrough Awards program.

Hospital IQ works across all areas of a health system, offering solutions that optimize capacity, throughput, and workforce across all clinical areas such as the emergency department, inpatient unit and into the community at clinics and ambulatory surgery centers.

The AI-based Hospital IQ operations management platform complements a client’s existing IT infrastructure by aggregating data from their clinical and non-clinical systems, external data sources and incorporating specific hospital policies. This data is then processed through their state-of-the-art platform, in real-time, to create the foundation for their predictions, prescriptive recommendations, automated workflows, dashboards, and reports. This combination of capabilities, also known as intelligent automation, ensures that the right information, gets to the right person hours, days and weeks in advance - ensuring alignment of actions and priorities across the enterprise.

“With standard operating practices implemented and supported by our robust technology platform, healthcare administrators and leaders are given back valuable time to better manage their operations, and care teams can focus more of their time attending to patient care-related activities,” said Rich Krueger, CEO, Hospital IQ. “Additionally, staff can rely on prescriptive analytics to guide their decisions and proactively prepare for future events. This combination of more time and better insights improves performance in a sustainable way.”

The mission of the MedTech Breakthrough Awards is to honor excellence and recognize the innovation, hard work and success in a range of health and medical technology categories, including Robotics, Clinical Administration, Telehealth, Patient Engagement, Electronic Health Records (EHR), mHealth, Medical Devices, Medical Data and many more. This year’s program attracted more than 3,750 nominations from over 15 different countries throughout the world.

“The day-to-day operating environment for health systems is dynamic and complex, and Hospital IQ is delivering a breakthrough platform that represents significant benefits for administrators to streamline operations, driving towards the ultimate goal of improved patient care and satisfaction,” said James Johnson, managing director, MedTech Breakthrough. “Hospital IQ’s comprehensive solution is a true breakthrough and we are thrilled to recognize the entire Hospital IQ team with our ‘Health Administration Innovation Award’ in our 2020 MedTech Breakthrough Awards program.”
