Hooters of Orange Park to Host Charity Car Wash Raising Money for Breast Cancer Research
Date:5/11/2009

ATLANTA, May 8 /PRNewswire/ -- On May 9th, the Hooters of Orange Park is hosting a car wash to raise money for breast cancer research. The car wash begins at 10 AM at the Hooters of Orange Park located at 1740 Wells Road. The restaurant can be reached at (904) 215-5858.

All donations from the car wash will go toward the Kelly Jo Dowd $2 Million breast cancer research grant. Every Hooters restaurant in the country is raising money through various charitable efforts in the name of the 1998 Hooters Calendar Cover Girl and former Hooters Manager Kelly Jo Dowd, who lost her battle with breast cancer 2 years ago.

In addition to the car wash on May 9th, the Hooters of Orange Park also hosts a bike night every Friday and for the rest of the month will wash bikes on site to raise money for the cause.

"Raising money for the Kelly Jo Dowd fund is near and dear to our hearts, especially since Kelly Jo was from Florida," stated Rick Sirany, General Manager of the Hooters of Orange Park. "Our goal is to raise at least $1,000 this month."
