Both SALONPAS® PAIN RELIEF PATCH and ARTHRITIS PAIN are the first and only FDA approved over-the-counter pain relief patches on the market today.

SALONPAS® PAIN RELIEF PATCH/SALONPAS® ARTHRITIS PAIN patches are formulated for the temporary relief of the mild to moderate aches and pains of the muscles and joints associated with arthritis, sprains, strains, bruises and simple backaches experienced by patients age 18 or older.  The patches are ideally suited for seniors, workers, athletes and others. New SALONPAS® patches are effective for up to 12 hours, which contrasts with competing brands that are viable only up to 8 hours.

To introduce SALONPAS® patches, Hisamitsu will distribute over 2 million free samples.  Consumers may acquire them by visiting www.jointhepainfreemovement.com. People can also join SALONPAS® Facebook page and follow SALONPAS® on Twitter.

Joining SALONPAS® Facebook page also allows individuals to engage with the community of SALONPAS users and provide resources on pain relief and pain prevention at home, the office or on the athletic field.

SALONPAS® patches are the smarter way to relieve pain because they are safe, long lasting. Because they are patches, they go directly to the source of pain. Originally developed in Japan, SALONPAS® analgesic patches have proven safe and effective in clinical trials.  Each patch contains 10% methyl salicylate and 3% I-menthol as the active pharmaceutical ingredients. They also offer an alternative for people who have a difficulty swallowing such as children or the elderly.

SALONPAS® patches are available at major drug stores and big box outlets such as Rite Aid, CVS Pharmacy, Walgreens, Duane Reade, and others. Suggested retail price is $7.99.

SALONPAS® PAIN RELIEF PATCH and ARTHRITIS PAIN are the latest offering from Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical, a Japan based company founded in 1847. Hisamitsu introduced the original SALONPAS® patch in 1934 and their products are sold in approximately fifty countries around the world.
