Heraeus' Venus® Bulk Fill Composite Receives 4-Star Rating from REALITY
Date:3/26/2012

SOUTH BEND, Ind., March 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Heraeus Kulzer, LLC, the worldwide leader in dental esthetics, announced today that its Venus Bulk Fill low stress flowable composite recently received a 4 star rating from REALITY Research Lab (RRL), one of the leading dental product rating companies.  The REALITY Editorial Team gave Venus Bulk Fill strong marks for shrinkage stress, dispensing, consistency, handling, flow, radiopacity, curing time and post-operative sensitivity.

Venus Bulk Fill enables bulk filling up to 4 mm and provides an efficient solution for esthetic posterior restorations. It delivers low shrinkage stress and self-adaptive handling that eliminates steps and provides ideal coverage of the cavity floor and walls. It is also highly radiopaque for more accurate diagnosis.

"Dentists and their assistants love the time savings that bulk fill composites can provide," said Amanda Holland, Product Manager. "Venus Bulk Fill delivers an exceptionally low shrinkage stress that makes it ideal for all Class I and Class II restorations, as well as for use as a base liner in shallow restorations."

In addition to citing Venus Bulk Fill's very good radiopacity and low stress combined with a deep cure, 80% of evaluators liked its handling, and 73% rated the viscosity ideal.  REALITY further reported that Venus Bulk Fill's pre-loaded tip (PLT) option features "fine, plastic, needle-like tips that allow precise dispensing, especially in hard-to-access areas, compared to other types of tips."  Venus Bulk Fill is also available in syringes featuring fine metal tips.

The REALITY Research Lab is one of the few totally private, non-commercial dental research laboratories in the world. Its product testing simulates actual clinical procedures as closely as possible. With an editorial team comprising 38 of the most respected and renowned dental professionals in the world, REALITY is considered by many to be dentistry's leading authority on esthetics.
