Henry Schein Disaster Relief Hotline Remains Open for Customers Affected by Devastating Storms

MELVILLE, N.Y., May 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Henry Schein, Inc. (NASDAQ: HSIC), the largest provider of health care products and services to office-based practitioners, today announced that its disaster relief hotline will remain open for dentists, physicians and veterinarians who experience operational, logistical or financial issues as a result of tornadoes, hurricanes and other devastating storms. The toll-free number for all dental, medical and animal health customers – 800-999-9729 – is operational from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. CDT.

"Along with the rest of the country, we at Henry Schein have watched the reports of ravaging storms with great concern and, as always, stand ready to help our dental, medical, and animal health customers whose practices are affected by this these natural disasters," said James P. Breslawski, President and Chief Operating Officer of Henry Schein. "We want to remind our customers that our disaster relief hotline remains open year round, and that they are encouraged to call us with issues that we might be able to help them address. This disaster relief hotline is just one way that we try to be a valuable business partner to our customers, especially when they need help the most."

In addition to supporting the Company's customers through the disaster relief hotline, Henry Schein Tornadoes Relief Fund remains open to support relief efforts. The Fund was first established last month through the Henry Schein Cares Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, in response to the tornadoes that struck the South, and continued support is being provided to other regions of the country subsequently struck by tornadoes. Because tornadoes, hurricanes, and other devastating storms typically strike many regions of the United States throughout the summer months, the fund will remain open to provide aid for victims of these natural disasters.
