Date:9/6/2011

NEWTOWN, Pa., Sept. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- HeartSine® Technologies, Inc., a world leader in personal and public access defibrillators, announced that it is a finalist to receive the coveted Orange Innovation Award in the 10th annual UK National Business Awards. HeartSine was selected because of its innovative approach to the design, development and manufacture of Automated External Defibrillators (AED) for the treatment of Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

The Orange Innovation Award recognizes businesses that have gone beyond the ordinary in their development and who have implemented cutting edge innovation in terms of products, services or company culture. The clinically advanced technology within HeartSine's leading edge cardiac defibrillation products enables the company to compete successfully in the global healthcare market.

HeartSine's Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) devices meet and exceed AED clinical efficacy standards. This innovation enables HeartSine to provide its global customers with exceptional product reliability, the lowest cost of ownership and superior technology that helps save lives.

"Our long history of invention and innovation in the AED industry continues today in our ongoing commitment to developing and providing the highest level of clinically advanced, lifesaving technology to customers around the globe," said Marc Lawrence, senior vice president, HeartSine. "We are honored to have been selected as a finalist for this prestigious award."

HeartSine will prepare a presentation in person before an independent panel of experts in October. Winners will be announced in November at an awards ceremony in London.
