Healthcare Professionals Tout Ubiquinol Form of CoQ10 as a Safe and Natural Antioxidant Ingredient
Date:2/26/2013

PASADENA, Texas, Feb. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- In a recent discussion within the nutrition and healthcare community last week regarding the use of antioxidant supplements, leading healthcare professionals including Dr. Mehmet Oz , Holly Lucille, N.D., Bryce Wylde, N.D., and Tasmeen Bhatia, M.D., touted Ubiquinol, a natural converted form of CoQ10, as the antioxidant that is safe to consume in pill form.  The topic was discussed on the Dr. Oz Show, which aired on February 22nd, addressing the myths and truths surrounding the use of antioxidant supplements.

The program featured Ubiquinol as the supplement "experts say you're not getting enough of – and they all agree, it's the one pill worth swallowing."  Dr. Oz and other healthcare professionals explained why "this powerful antioxidant may hold the secret to protecting your heart, revving your energy production, and slowing the aging process" and reiterated that "it's being recognized all across the medical community, from traditional doctors to alternative health practitioners."

Ubiquinol is the pre-converted form of CoQ10, produced naturally by our bodies.  For individuals who are 40 years or older, taking CoQ10 in this form becomes even more beneficial since the body's ability to produce CoQ10 and convert it into Ubiquinol is diminished at this age.  Optimal Ubiquinol levels are important for anyone looking to support cardiovascular, neurological and liver health and promote anti-aging.

The Dr. Oz Show segment pointed out that Ubiquinol has ''been shown to lower blood pressure, help the good cholesterol, and help the complications from statins" – the cholesterol lowering drugs that are widely consumed by millions of Americans to combat high cholesterol.  The program also illustrated how difficult it is to obtain adequate amounts of Ubiquinol through a healthy diet alone.

For example, the typical person would need to consume 7 lbs. of meat, 8 lbs. of peanuts, 125 cups of cauliflower or 300 oranges per day – obviously, inconceivable amounts of these foods to eat and digest on a daily basis – to obtain the same amount of Ubiquinol found in only one pill.  The recommended per diem dose of Ubiquinol is 100 mg.

In recent weeks, Kaneka Nutrients, the makers of Ubiquinol, has partnered with nutrition expert Keri Glassman and the trusted health source WebMD to take the Ubiquinol message to millions of Americans who can strongly benefit from its added heart, natural energy and anti-aging support.  This little known ingredient is now becoming a mainstay "must take" for anyone 40+ who wants to ensure good health.

Kaneka Nutrients Marketing Manager John Jarmul adds:  "Ubiquinol offers a safe, natural way to improve cardio strength and general vitality on myriad levels – not to mention its ability to help lower statin side effects.  We're excited and pleased that Ubiquinol was featured on the Dr. Oz Show as a safe antioxidant alternative and overall healthy nutrient.  Americans need to know about the big potential health impact of this natural 'body-ready' form of CoQ10 – and understand why taking Ubiquinol is simply a smart health move, especially for anyone over 40."

The program wraps up by emphasizing when shopping for CoQ10, it's important to ask for its Ubiquinol form.  Most major supplement brands now carry it along side regular CoQ10.  For more information on the benefits of Ubiquinol, please visit www.ubiquinol.org.
