n McCarthy and senior level staff members of Senator Kristen Gillibrand, expressing a clear, direct message to protect Medicare Advantage. The lawmakers were receptive and eager to learn more about HCP, IPA and how it implements health care coverage. Both Congressman Ackerman and Congresswoman McCarthy (herself a former nurse) expressed interest in the personal stories from Mr. and Mrs. Tower and asked their respective staff to follow up with HCP, IPA. Senior staffers with Senator Gillibrand let the group know they are aware of the aspects of Medicare Advantage that have been successful and cost effective.
