Health Diagnostic Laboratory Inc. Joined by Stephen G. Carroll

RICHMOND, Va., July 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc.'s (HDL, Inc.) rapidly growing staff has been joined by a pillar of the local business community, Stephen G. Carroll, CPA, as Chief Financial Officer. Carroll had previously served as outside accounting consultant to the cutting-edge cardiovascular diagnostic lab.  

"Steve has been with us from the very beginning and it is a logical progression for him to join us," said Tonya Mallory, President and CEO of HDL, Inc. "We're delighted to have him on board."

Carroll is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business' program in Business Advisory Services and a specialist in advising early-stage and rapidly growing companies with thirty years of experience, in addition to his status as a Certified Public Accountant. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau, a sponsor of the Virginia Biosciences Development Center and the Dominion Resources Green Tech Incubator, and a member of the Richmond Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.  

"Aside from his outstanding credentials and accomplishments in business, Steve's efforts to help the community reflect the commitment to local involvement that defines the mission of HDL, Inc.," said Mallory.  

Carroll was an organizer and member of the initial Board of Directors of First Capital Bank, a community bank. He also regularly donates his time and talents to the City of Richmond's Voluntary Income Tax Assistance Program, which serves the needs of underprivileged local individuals.  

"I'm happy to be officially coming on board with such a dynamic company," said Carroll of his move. "The atmosphere of growth and excitement at HDL, Inc. is contagious." He was previously a partner at Harris, Hardy, and Johnstone, P.C.
