Date:8/9/2012

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Health2.0 and Dr.Greene.com officially announced Body2.0, a health and technology expo aimed at the public, taking place on October 7, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the TerraGallery in San Francisco. Dr. Greene, founder of DrGreene.com and author of Raising Baby Green and Feeding Baby Green, will keynote Body 2.0.

There has been an explosion of innovation in personal health, from sensors and apps that dynamically track our health data, to social networks and online platforms that give customized cues to motivate users to improve their lifestyles. Body 2.0 will showcase the best technologies available today, and introduce new technologies that are redefining the future.

Health 2.0 CEO, Indu Subaiya, said, "The basic premise behind the event is this: Upgrade Your Body -- give people the best tools to upgrade their bodies and they will upgrade their lives."

Health-curious people will have the opportunity to experience the latest tools for health in the realms of fitness, nutrition, beauty, sex, relationships, genetics, disease management, and health optimization. In addition to the hands-on element, the event will feature speakers, live demos, exhibitors, and product giveaways. Local growers will provide organic and healthy food, which will be prepared by Bay Area chefs.

Health 2.0's extensive experience hosting health technology conferences worldwide and forecasting industry developments, combined with Dr. Alan Greene's role as a national champion of healthy living for both children and adults, provided both the impetus and expertise for creating Body 2.0. This event will be the first in a multi-city series to be held throughout 2013. It launches in San Francisco and will move to Los Angeles and New York City.
