HCI Introduces 13" Low Voltage Swing Arm Television for Healthcare
Date:8/2/2011

CINCINNATI, Aug. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- HCI has announced the release of their new 13.3" Hospital-grade Low Voltage Swing Arm BedMate II Television. The TV is designed for use in hospitals, dialysis clinics, infusion centers, and other healthcare facilities to entertain and educate patients. The BedMate is the only model available that features ultra-reliable capacitive touch buttons designed to withstand heavy usage and are sensitive to weak fingers.

HCI televisions are made exclusively for the healthcare industry with patients in mind. The 13" BedMate includes a safety halo that allows patients to move the TV freely on the swing arm without harm to the TV or patient. A USB Clone makes setting up numerous televisions in the facility easy and efficient. With an antimicrobial acrylic surface, cleaning is easier and helps protect patients from nosocomial infections. The TV's built-in USB media player enables patients to watch movies, listen to music or view pictures on demand during treatment to enhance the patient experience.

Lori Floyd, Facility Administrator at Davita Silverton Dialysis Clinic states, "HCI's BedMate televisions are user-friendly, dependable, reliable, easy to clean, and have a good picture quality."

Additional product features of HCI's new model include rounded corners for patient safety and a pillow speaker jack. The earphone jacks are easily replaceable as they are usually the first component that needs replacing on a swing arm television due to heavy usage. The 13" BedMate is compatible with most existing 28VAC or 24VAC low-voltage TV systems. HCI offers a complete line of accessories such as low-voltage swing arms and power supplies to accommodate the television.

HCI is based in Cincinnati, Ohio and has been a provider of education and entertainment solutions for healthcare for nearly 40 years. With installations throughout the U.S. and Canada, their products couple the latest technologies with cost-effective software solutions, hospital grade televisions and accessories. HCI's solutions are designed to increase patient satisfaction and promote consistent patient care.
