H. D. Smith Supports Local Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Clinics And Independent Retail Pharmacies Throughout Hurricane Sandy

During Hurricane Sandy and now, in its aftermath, the Kearny, NJ-based New York Metro Division of H. D. Smith Wholesalers continues to go the extra mile to service customers.  "Our foremost priority is ensuring that local pharmacies – the first place so many people turn to, for medical and emergency supplies – can help patients access the medicines and home health products they need," said Dale Smith, president and chief executive officer, H. D. Smith.

The New York Metro division prepared for the storm by enacting their emergency action plan, providing extra deliveries and instructing customers to stock up ahead of the storm in case of supply chain disruptions.  After the storm passed, the division was up and running on a generator and filled and delivered orders to hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and Independent Pharmacy Retailers.
