Go Healthy Initiates Additional Clinical Tests on Cholesterade

HOUSTON, May 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Go Healthy (Pink Sheets: GOHE) announces the initiation of further clinical trials with Cholesterade (R) in three medical settings with an expected patient clinical group of 200 patients in 6 centers around the country. Dr. William Bryan of the Sports Medicine Institute at The Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center will coordinate one clinical trial. Dr. Bryan was formerly the Team Physician for the Houston Astros and the former Medical Director of Major League Baseball.

Dr. David Braunreiter of Memorial Hermann Hospital, the Team Physician for the Houston Dynamo and the NFL's Houston Texans will coordinate a center in Southwest Houston. Dr. Jason Pirozzolo of the Sports Medicine Institute at the Florida Hospital in Orlando will coordinate a third center, pending IRB approval. Pirozzolo recently completed Sports Medicine fellowships at the Ohio State University and Duke University.

Future centers will be coordinated by CO-PIs, Dr. Hal Goforth, widely acclaimed researcher on muscle glycogen metabolism from Point Loma Nazarene University and the Naval Research Center, and Dr. Fran Pirozzolo, Chairman of the Medical and Scientific Advisory Board of Go Healthy. Dr. Fran Pirozzolo was formerly the Chief of the Neuropsychology Service in the Department of Neurology at the Baylor College of Medicine. He was a Member of the National Academy of Sciences Committee on Techniques to Enhance Human Performance and has served on a number of NIH and NIMH advisory committees.

The study will be a double-blind crossover study of the efficacy of Cholesterade(R) in lowering cholesterol (total cholesterol and LDL) and triglycerides while increasing HDL and HDLC/LDLC ratio. The study will also employ a modified Experience Sampling Technique to measure the vitality of subjects throughout the day.
