Global Webinar Focuses on Considerations for Extractables and Leachables
Date:5/16/2012

AMSTERDAM, May 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading events organiser UBM Conferences, a division of UBM Plc (LSE: UBM),  today announced details of the forthcoming CPhI Extractables and Leachables Webinar to be hosted on May 17th, 2012 at 2pm IST/9:30am GMT/4:30pm CST. The free to attend webinar will evaluate the considerations to be made when using extractables and leachables and during drug development, in addition to highlighting how monomers and additives, such as antioxidants, plasticisers, and stabilisers, should be evaluated for potential migration into final medicinal products. Featured topics will include current regulatory guidelines, approaches to designing extractable and leachable studies, evaluation and qualification of finished containers, what process materials to use in pharmaceutical production, as well as ICH and global pharmacopeial guidelines and regulations.

"The goal of this webinar is to provide attendees with an understanding of current regulatory requirements and expectations and how to apply them to the design of extractable and leachable studies," noted Ferdinand Dabu, UBM Conferences. He added, "This event takes advantage of an offsite format that is easy to attend and justify financially. Through the use of the webinar format, our attendees can tune in and listen to key industry players talking about real issues that will be directly applicable to their own laboratory testing practices and help them to find new ways to guarantee supply chain security."

The Extractables and Leachables Webinar will be presented by top industry experts from Boehringer Ingelheim and SGS Life Science Services. Because of the format, it will provide a unique platform for pharmaceutical manufacturing professionals to learn and network with other industry players on ways to improve their individual pharmaceutical manufacturing supply chains.
