G-CON Manufacturing and Howorth Air Technology Announce Global Collaboration

BAYVILLE, N.J. and  COLLEGE STATION, Texas, March 26, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- G-CON and Howorth Air Technology have agreed to a global collaboration to offer a flexible pharmaceutical containment solution that will provide a safe and clean environment for GMP therapeutics manufacturing.  Utilizing G-CON's novel, mobile cleanroom PODs™ and Howorth's advanced expertise in engineering clean air and isolator technologies will allow customers to meet safety and regulatory needs without risking process productivity.

G-CON's PODs are self-contained, autonomous cleanroom systems for biopharmaceutical processes.  PODs are scalable and repurposeable and can be used in multi-product or individual patient scenarios.  Howorth's clean air engineering is a proven concept which allows for a controlled flow of air, enabling contaminates to be carried away for optimal containment. The combination of G-CON's modular, flexible POD technology and Howorth's world class containment control solutions will provide the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry with a key resolution that will meet or exceed relevant GMP global standards, while continuing to offer an innovative approach that reduces our clients' time to market.

Graham Hind , Chief Executive Officer of Howorth Air Technology, states: "G-CON provides a world class innovative solution with a quality and service that present the absolute synergies and ingredients Howorth is proud to be allied with. The collaboration of G-CON, Howorth and their associates will provide the optimum single-source solutions to an unparalleled level of technology, quality and service. This recipe makes a very exciting era for G-CON, Howorth and our customers."

Maik Jornitz , Chief Operating Officer of G-CON Manufacturing, states:  "We are very excited to partner with Howorth Air Technology, a world leading containment and aseptic technologies provider. The combination of G-CON's cleanroom PODs and Howorth's containment options meets current biopharmaceutical industry demands, especially with increasing potency of therapeutic drug products or individual patient therapies."

Effective immediately, G-CON's PODs are made available with Howorth being the preferred service provider in regard to containment products, aseptic solutions, and hospital solutions.

About G-CON
G-CON was founded to address the fact that existing systems and methodologies of constructing biomanufacturing and personalized medicine suites were neither affordable nor flexible enough to meet the rapidly changing market's needs. G-CON's founders have significant experience in designing, building, operating, and maintaining a variety of traditional biomanufacturing facilities. They are familiar with the excessive cost to build, lack of flexibility, and high expense to maintain these traditional facilities and have leveraged this experience to create the G-CON POD™ solution. Moreover, the G-CON team understands that future facility designs must be multipurpose and repurposable, instead of fixed and specialized with ineffective capacity utilization.
