Four New Canada Finalists Named in IsaBody Challenge To Compete for CA$10,000

Isagenix International, a global health and wellness company providing nutrition and lifestyle solutions, has announced its second round of Canada finalists for its annual total-body transformation program, the IsaBody Challenge®.

The four second-round finalists are Dave te Sligte of Selwyn, Ontario; Dwight Hodel of Medicine Hat, Alberta; Jennifer Bounds of Fort McMurray, Alberta; and Melissa Anstice of Victoria, British Columbia. These individuals were selected out of the thousands of people across Canada who completed the IsaBody Challenge during the most recent Judging Period.

The first Judging Period also resulted in four finalists, announced in early June. The eight finalists named so far have won CA$3,000 and the chance to compete for the grand prize of CA$10,000. Finalists also receive a CA$200 product coupon, a photo shoot, an all-expenses-paid trip to the IsaBody™ Escape for themselves and a guest, and other prizes to recognize their achievements.

Each finalist — including a third round of finalists announced later this year — will be introduced onstage at the Isagenix Canada Celebration 2020 in February in Montreal, Quebec, in front of thousands of attendees. The grand prize winner will be announced at this event. The IsaBody Challenge and Canada Celebration are both hosted by Isagenix.

“Our most recent Canada finalists have demonstrated discipline, perseverance, and an incredible commitment to their health and wellness journeys,” said Travis Ogden, chief executive officer of Isagenix. “We’re proud to recognize their unwavering resilience and the example they’ve set for others, and we’re honored that our exceptional nutrition solutions have played a key role in their transformations. We congratulate them on this landmark and wish them continued success.”

Meet the Finalists

Dave te Sligte, Ontario
Age: 43
Total Challenges Completed: 7
Total Weight Loss Over Completed Challenges: 176 pounds*
A father of four, Dave was once so overweight he wasn’t physically able to keep up with his kids or ride a bike. He had his aha moment when his wife said he could no longer ride his motorcycle if his protective gear didn’t fit. Since beginning his weight loss journey with Isagenix, Dave has lost 176 pounds* and has become someone his kids can look up to. He recently completed his first 5K Spartan Race, and his kids ran the Spartan Kids Race. He says his life is forever changed.

Dwight Hodel, Alberta
Age: 29
Total Challenges Completed: 2
Total Weight Loss Over Completed Challenges: 70 pounds*
Dwight was always active and involved in sports but never had the lean body he wanted because he didn’t take the time to care about nutrition. Last year, he decided to put an end to his on-again, off-again healthy choices and make a complete lifestyle change. So far, he’s lost 90 pounds (70 of those pounds while enrolled in the IsaBody Challenge).* Now, at 29 years old, Dwight has abs and has become an inspiration for his friends and family, which motivates him to continue setting and achieving new goals.

Jennifer Bounds
Age: 39
Total Challenges Completed: 6
Total Weight Loss During Completed Challenges: 24 pounds*
Looking back at how intimidated she was starting her first IsaBody Challenge, Jennifer can’t believe she’s now on number six. She’s learned so much when it comes to believing in herself, which has given her back the confidence she once lost. In her latest Challenge, Jennifer was determined to work on her personal development and her exercise routine. She is so proud of how far she has come, from frequently stepping out of her comfort zone to staying consistent with her workouts.

Melissa Anstice, British Columbia
Age: 45
Total Challenges Completed: 5
Total Weight Loss Over Completed Challenges: 43 pounds*
Before Isagenix, Melissa felt like untapped potential wrapped in an ever-widening body. She was sabotaged by self-limiting beliefs. It wasn’t until she began her first IsaBody Challenge and focused on her mental health that she reached the point of believing in herself enough to make a physical transformation. Melissa now dreams bigger than ever. In June, she earned a medal in a bodybuilding competition.

*Weight loss, muscle gain, lifestyle, and other results depicted here reflect exceptional individual experiences of Isagenix customers and should not be construed as typical or average. Results vary with individual effort, body composition, eating patterns, time, exercise, and other factors, such as genetic and physiological makeup. A two-phase 2016 study published by researchers at Skidmore College showed an average weight loss of 24 pounds after 12 weeks. The study evaluated the use of Isagenix products in men and women for weight loss followed by weight maintenance. During the weight maintenance phase, the subjects who continued the calorie-controlled program using Isagenix products better maintained their weight loss in comparison to those who transitioned to a traditional diet after 52 weeks.
