LONDON, October 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
First 100 couples to create page on Pinktimeline.com to receive £50
Church & Dwight UK, the makers of First Response, have launched a fundraising resource on their website, http://www.pinktimeline.com, to help those trying for a baby raise funds for associated costs. Couples can create a private fundraising page to share with family and friends, at their discretion, to raise funds for specialty consultations, fertility treatments or even to set up a nursery. The fundraising page will be particularly useful around birthdays and holidays, as a way for couple's to share their story and ask for donations in place of gifts.
The length of time that it takes a couple to conceive can vary considerably. Fertility problems affect one in seven couples in the UK - approximately 3.5 million people. While the NHS does offer IVF assistance, some couples are ineligible, have already undergone the cycles available to them with no success, or prefer to seek private treatment. The options they are left with can be costly.
The fundraising resource allows couples to provide a description of what they're raising funds for, set a goal, track progress and add updates. They can share the link to their page with family and friends. All donated funds go directly to the couple through PayPal.
The first 100 couples to create fundraising pages will receive a £50 contribution from First Response to get them started.
Zita West, Fertility Expert and Midwife to the Stars, said, "Sometimes couples don't realise what a large support network they have. Those closest to them often want to help but don't know how to bring up this sensitive subject. So, the fundraising page can be a way to bring everyone together to show their support. This can have a tremendous impact for the couple during this exciting yet stressful time."
Shahla Rushworth, Health & Beauty Group Brand Manager at Church & Dwight, "It's our goal to make it easier for couples when they're trying for a baby. Whether they're looking for information on conception, need support while waiting to test or want to create a fundraising page, it is all available on our website (pinktimeline.com)."
Pinktimeline.com is a resource for those trying for a baby. The website provides details on what is happening to a woman's body during this time and includes Zita's tips for staying healthy and relaxed. There is even a forum where women can connect with others who are also waiting to test. After testing, there is a results page with next step advice from Zita.
