First Perry Baromedical Sigma Elite Hyperbaric Chamber with EMR Installed at Stillwater Medical Center
Date:3/1/2010

STILLWATER, Okla., March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Perry Baromedical (www.perryhbo.com) announces the first U.S. installation of the cutting edge Sigma 40 Elite Hyperbaric Chamber to contain Computer Automated Control and EMR Documentation System as new options.

According to Glenn Dennis, COO and President of Perry, "The new Sigma Elite computer automated control system allows the user to automate treatment protocols while maintaining the ability to customize the protocol, record it with date, time, depth, etc, and export it to the patients file via an EMR system or printer for use again and again."

Additional innovations include a Voice Activated Sound Systems to eliminate the need for a patient call button, and a hydraulic gurney with arm rests and an adjustable back rest. The exciting Sigma Elite technology is receiving a great deal of interest from those involved in studies for new indications.  With the Sigma Elite, physicians can create a new treatment protocol, document it, and repeat it exactly over and over again. The system also allows for changes to be made as necessary and the entire process and outcome can be documented both electronically as well as in a hard copy.

Tina Holzer, RN, Clinical Manager at Stillwater Medical Center stated, "The Sigma Elite computer automated control system allows for an easy transition from patient to patient. We appreciate the ease of use and the individual patient printouts provide clear and concise documentation of the treatment provided."

Stillwater Medical Center is a regional health care center for Payne County and adjacent counties providing a full, coordinated range of services, consistent with community needs, being distinguished by its quality, service and patient satisfaction.
