Date:3/18/2010

ALPHARETTA, Ga., March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- EndoChoice, Inc. strengthens its position as the leader in endoscopy industry with the launch of a new CEU program and a complete line of products focused on efficient and effective endoscope reprocessing.  "Incidents of pathogen transmission related to flexible endoscopy continue to be reported in the media, and ECRI Institute continues to receive reports of potential endoscopy-related cross-contamination in facilities around the United States," 2010 Top 10 Technology Hazards, Health Devices, Nov. 2009.

EndoChoice's new CEU Video Program for Endoscope Reprocessing educates physicians, nurses and technicians on the proper protocol for reprocessing endoscopes.  This unique program provides one contact hour of continuing education for the gastroenterology professional with an overview of the professional society guidelines for proper endoscope care and infection control.  Mark DeLegge, M.D., Director of the Digestive Disease Center at the Medical University of South Carolina, says, "Reprocessing is the most critical component of an endoscopy procedure," and, "A CEU program is an important training tool to encourage and support proper reprocessing."

EndoChoice recently launched a full line of best-in-class endoscope reprocessing products, designed to meet the established society guidelines for proper endoscope care and infection control.

Mark Gilreath, EndoChoice's CEO, said, "We understand the vital importance of proper infection control and the issues associated with effective endoscope reprocessing.  As a result, we have developed a CEU program and a complete line of GI specific reprocessing products to support the society guidelines.  We strive to be an advocate for the GI professional in everything we do, so we are very pleased to offer this educational program to the GI community."
