"Two Years and Counting" White Paper Helps Users Plan Their Transition Schedule and Identify Critical Milestones and Educational Needs

Elsevier / MC Strategies, a pioneer in providing eLearning solutions to more than 1,300 healthcare organizations, today announced the addition of a white paper, "Two Years and Counting", as well as updates to its eBook, A Guide to Education and Training for ICD-10 Implementation, to its ICD-10 Roadmap.

Elsevier's ICD-10 Roadmap is a comprehensive, phased transition plan that serves as a guide for successful planning and implementation. The roadmap is divided into four phases of the transition - evaluation, planning, action and management - and offers recommendations for planning as well as an educational program that provides the right training at the right time. As noted on the roadmap, organizations should now be performing gap analyses and improving the foundational knowledge of their staff. Elsevier's ICD-10 Readiness Assessment tool, and Mosby's Anatomy & Physiology, Pathophysiology and Medical Terminology Curricula will help ensure that organizations are ready for the next phase.

The newest white paper from Elsevier, "Two Years and Counting," details where healthcare organizations should be in their transition process, and provides an in-depth look at the four phases of transition, including the steps that need to be taken in each phase to ensure a smooth transition.  To further emphasize the need to act, Elsevier has added a Countdown to ICD-10 clock to their icd-10online.com web site.
