Ellman International Announces Executive Team Hire

OCEANSIDE, N.Y., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Ellman International, Inc., a New York based developer, manufacturer and marketer of RF devices for surgical and aesthetic procedures, announced that Frank D. D'Amelio will join its executive team in the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO), Executive Vice President. "We are proud to welcome Mr. D'Amelio, a senior medical device professional who will help guide the company's continued growth," said Chief Executive Officer Rick Epstein.

Innovation and aggressive new product development will mark the next phase for Pelleve and Ellman International.  "Frank's extensive experience in developing strong global strategic alliances will be invaluable as we seek new breakthrough technologies to reinforce our versatility in surgical and non-surgical aesthetic systems," said Mr. Epstein.

D'Amelio brings over 25 years of executive experience in the areas of worldwide business development, manufacturing and operations, and the strategic research and development portfolio management.  Most recently, he served as the President of LTC Technologies, a bipolar tissue sealing and welding company and was the former Chief Technology Officer of Gyrus/ACMI, a leading global medical visualization and surgical energy company. At Gyrus/ACMI, Mr. D'Amelio developed and launched numerous endoscopic and electrosurgical systems for the GI, general surgery, urology and gynecology markets and formed a number of significant strategic alliances with other medical device companies.  He is a named inventor of approximately 40 worldwide issued or pending patents.
