Date:6/15/2010

MERRIMACK, N.H., June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Eleme Medical Inc., a venture-backed aesthetics company dedicated to providing market-leading technology in all areas of body shaping, announced today that CEO and President, Nancy M. Briefs was the recipient of a Leadership Award from non-profit group Women Entrepreneurs in Science and Technology (WEST).  WEST inspires women scientists and engineers to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and apply it to technological innovation as well as career advancement.  The WEST Leadership Award honors entrepreneurial leaders who have demonstrated notable achievements in science and technology, either by starting their own companies, or successfully applying entrepreneurial thinking within larger organizations. "All of the women being honored are an inspiration to others – they have led their companies to new levels of innovation," commented Gwen Acton, PhD, President of WEST.

"I'm honored to be recognized along with my esteemed fellow award recipients.  Each of us demonstrates that female entrepreneurs are having a daily impact through science and technology across many different industries," commented Ms. Briefs.  "The award is particularly meaningful coming on the heels of the SmoothShapes® XV launch."

Ms. Briefs also inspired the next generation of entrepreneurs as a panelist at the New Hampshire Women's Leadership Summit on June 11th, 2010.  The Summit aims to provide women with the insight and skills needed to take on leadership positions in organizations in New Hampshire, as well as across the U.S.  Ms. Briefs participated in a seminar titled "From Employee to Entrepreneur" where she shared the challenges and opportunities she's faced in her career.

"It's important for today's business leaders to be sharing our knowledge with the leaders of tomorrow," commented Ms. Briefs.  "As the global marketplace becomes more competitive, an entrepreneurial spirit will be critical to success."
