Effie Toshav Joins Fenwick - Broadens Life Sciences Service Platform

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., May 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Fenwick & West, a leading technology and life sciences law firm, is pleased to announce that Effie Toshav has joined the firm as a partner in its Life Sciences Group. Ms. Toshav's national practice focuses on advising life sciences clients as a strategic counselor on a broad range of legal issues and transactions. Formerly senior vice president, general counsel and secretary at AVI BioPharma, Ms. Toshav is based in Fenwick's Seattle office.

Prior to private practice, she was on the management team of biotechnology company GlycoFi and played a significant role in the $400 million sale of the company to Merck in 2006.
