DocuTrac, Inc. Provides Cloud Hosted Solution for Behavioral Health Providers
Date:4/11/2013

HAGERSTOWN, Md., April 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- DocuTrac, Inc. announced the launch of its Cloud Hosted Solution of QuicDoc® Office. The cloud offering represents a logical progression of the services the company offers its customers. In keeping with the changing environment in the behavioral health industry and the rapid changes in technology, DocuTrac provides a front to back office solution that is easily scalable and globally accessible across multiple platforms with an internet connection.

It is no secret that behavioral health providers have been hesitant to adopt new technologies, focusing more on treatment as well as patient or client centered concerns. However, because of increased regulations, this is changing. Providers are now realizing the necessity of keeping their patient data secure, compliant, and readily accessible.

Jim Miller , Director of Quality Control and Compliance for DocuTrac states that, "Our goal is to provide clinicians with a secure, flexible solution with expanded connectivity at a reasonable cost.  Most providers are skeptical of cloud hosted systems citing security as a primary concern. While uncertainty is understandable," he goes on to say, "cloud hosted systems can actually deliver greater security than client-server systems or paper records. They achieve HIPAA compliance through data centers with bank-level security and high-level encryption methods."

DocuTrac's new cloud service, by its nature, removes the hassle of software installation, implementation, and maintenance, as well as overcoming the expense and labor of maintaining computer networks. The system provides for worry free automatic backup and disaster recovery.  The flexibility of DocuTrac's cloud hosted software allows practices to grow quickly and affordably, while keeping their patient data secure and within HIPAA's strict guidelines.
