Digital Assent CEO Selected as Finalist for 2011 Southeast Entrepreneur Awards

ATLANTA, April 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Assent founder and CEO Andrew Ibbotson has been named a finalist for this year's "Top Up-and-Coming Entrepreneur" award, which will be presented tomorrow evening at the VISTA 2011 Venture and Innovation Summit from TiE Atlanta, an organization whose mission is to foster and nurture the next generation of entrepreneurs.

In 2009 Ibbotson founded Digital Assent and launched its flagship product PatientPad® which has won several awards including the "2010 Cool Technology of the Year" award presented by TechAmerica and the Technology Association of Georgia.

Ibbotson is a serial entrepreneur who served as founder and CEO of Synthis Corporation, a technology company serving thousands of customers in more than 40 countries worldwide before its technology solution was acquired by a multi-billion dollar, market-leading software company in 2009.
