Dicom Systems to Launch DCMSYS Proxy at RSNA. The Feature Helps Extend the Life of Your Current PACS.

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Dicom Systems (www.dcmsys.com) is to unveil a DCMSYS router Proxy, a new feature of its DICOM/HL7 router suite at RSNA meeting this week.

The feature will allow medical facilities to improve the performance and reliability of their current teleradiology network without significant investment and costly network redesign. DCMSYS router can be installed in any facility; it improves the workflow and does not require a single change to the existing TCP/IP network.

It uses LAN Bypass, along with Dicom Systems proprietary technology. LAN Bypass is a fault-tolerance feature that protects the essential teleradiology communications in the event of power outage or any software failure. The failure will be completely transparent to the network and connectivity will remain fully protected.

DICOM Proxy enables cashing of all the radiology-related data and passes it from the source to the destination securely and efficiently. It's an ideal solution for companies who are considering a PACS replacement or looking to improve the performance of their existing PACS. DICOM Proxy allows users to update their current PACS with the new features.

Radiologists will see considerable benefits, as they will be able to utilize the DCMSYS router DICOM Proxy functionality to get only the information they need without delay. Technologists will be able to spend more time with patients and less time dealing with the connectivity issues.
