Date:8/31/2010

CLEVELAND, Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- DATATRAK International, Inc. (OTCQX: DATA), a technology and services company focused on global eClinical solutions for the clinical trials industry, today announced its compliance with the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework and the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework. This certification ensures continued data flows from all twenty-seven member states of the European Union and Switzerland as DATATRAK is compliant with the European Commission's Directive on Data Protection.

"DATATRAK prides itself on its stringent Quality Management System, and while this certification is new, our application was based on existing policy and procedures," stated Shiela McLaughlin, International Director Quality Assurance. "Obtaining this certification is just one more way that DATATRAK is providing superior customer service to its clients."

About Safe Harbor.

The safe harbor -- approved by the EU in 2000 -- is an important way for U.S. companies to avoid experiencing interruptions in their business dealings with the EU or facing prosecution by European authorities under European privacy laws. Certifying to the safe harbor will assure that EU organizations know that your company provides "adequate" privacy protection, as defined by the Directive. For more information on the Safe Harbor certification, please see http://www.export.gov/safeharbor.
