Corporate Whistleblower Center Urges Employees of Sleep Therapy Clinics to Call Them about Rewards if Their Employer is Involved in Physician Kickbacks or Medicare Overbilling
Date:5/10/2017

WASHINGTON, May 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Corporate Whistleblower Center says, "We are urging medical doctors or employees of sleep therapy clinics to call us anytime at 866-714-6466 if they possess proof a sleep therapy clinic is involved in a substantial scheme to overbill Medicare. We are just as interested in hearing from an employee of a medical equipment company if their employer is involved in a kickback scheme to provide medical practice groups with extra generous incentives to use, or overuse their medical products or equipment. Both of these types of scenarios can produce significant whistleblower rewards, as we would like to discuss anytime." http://CorporateWhistleblowerCenter.Com

In April 2017, the Department of Justice announced a healthcare equipment company agreed to pay $11.4 million to resolve allegations against it for violating the False Claims Act by submitting claims for reimbursement to Medicare and other federal healthcare programs for oxygen and related equipment supplied in violation of program rules, and for sleep therapy equipment supplied as part of a cross-referral kickback scheme with sleep clinics.

Allegedly beginning in 2006, some of the company's patient care coordinators allegedly agreed to make patient referrals to sleep testing clinics in exchange for those clinics' agreement to refer patients for sleep therapy equipment. The government alleged that this conduct violated the Anti-Kickback Act, which prohibits offering, paying, soliciting or receiving remuneration to induce referrals of items or services covered by Medicare, Medicaid and/or other federally funded programs.

In this specific instance, the whistleblower will receive will receive $1.824 million.

"Why sit on a potentially winning lotto ticket without ever knowing what it could be worth," says the Corporate Whistleblower Center. "If you have proof a medical practice group, any kind of healthcare company or medical device or medical equipment company is overbilling Medicare, or is involved in Stark Anti-Kickback law violations, please give us a call at 866-714-6466 and let's have a confidential conversation about whistleblower rewards." http://CorporateWhistleblowerCenter.Com

Simple rules for a whistleblower from the Corporate Whistleblower Center: Do not go to the government first if you are a major whistleblower. The Corporate Whistleblower Center says, "Major whistleblowers frequently go to the government thinking they will help. It's a huge mistake. Do not go to the news media with your whistleblower information. Public revelation of a whistleblower's information could destroy any prospect for a reward. Do not try to force a company or individual to come clean stark on anti-kickback laws or overbilling Medicare. Come to us first, tell us what type of information you have, and if we think it's sufficient, we will help find the right law firms to assist in advancing your information."

The Corporate Whistleblower Center wants to emphasize there are high quality whistleblowers in every state including California, New York, New Jersey, Florida, Texas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Rhode Island, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, Washington, or Alaska.

The Corporate Whistleblower Center is the premier advocate for whistleblowers in the United States. Unlike any group in the US, they can assist potential whistleblowers with packaging their information and providing the whistleblower with access to the most accomplished whistleblower attorneys in the nation. For more information, potential whistleblowers can contact the Corporate Whistleblower Center at 866-714-6466 or visit http://CorporateWhistleblower.Com.
