Date:8/17/2011

SKILLMAN, N.J., Aug. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --  ConvaTec, a world-leading developer and marketer of innovative medical technologies for community and hospital care, today announced the appointments of Charles Cerminara and James Moran to leadership positions in Asia-Pacific.

Cerminara has been appointed Vice President and General Manager, Greater China, a newly created position to ensure appropriate focus on the growth of the Chinese market and to leverage resources across China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.  Cerminara, who has been with ConvaTec for 24 years, was most recently Vice President and General Manager, Japan, where he has helped lead significant growth over the past four years.

Moran has been appointed Vice President and General Manager, Japan, filling the vacancy created by Cerminara's transfer to Greater China.  Moran has been with ConvaTec for nine years, currently serving as Vice President of Global Commercialization in Ostomy Care.  Previously, Moran led the Ostomy Care business for the ConvaTec U.S. organization.

"Emerging markets, including China, are a priority for ConvaTec as we look to accelerate growth across our global businesses," said Nino Pionati, President, ConvaTec Intercontinental.  "Under Chuck's dynamic leadership, we are confident that the strategic alignment of our resources across Greater China will enable us to quickly build on the infrastructure we have established across the region.  We are also pleased to have a seasoned executive of Jim's caliber to continue our growth trajectory in Japan."
