Cogmedix Expands To Support Laser Based Medical Devices

WORCESTER, Mass., Feb. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Cogmedix, a subsidiary of Coghlin Companies, Inc. has recently expanded their medical device contract manufacturing facility to add an additional 8,500 square feet. The increase in space is accommodating growth in medical device manufacturing, servicing, warehousing, and order fulfillment. Cogmedix continues to grow organically through its existing customer base and innovative new customers, add talented resources, and expand capabilities. There has been a growing demand for manufacturing capabilities to support laser based medical devices and dental devices. Cogmedix is embracing this demand, which complements their current technical differentiation in manufacturing complex electro-mechanical medical devices.

The recent expansion includes a 400 square foot, Class 10,000 clean room with laminar flow hoods for additional sub environment particle control. Cogmedix has always differentiated itself by focusing on complex electro-mechanical devices; assembling, testing and packaging a variety of sophisticated electronics, sensors, user interfaces, and high precision mechanical components.
