Date:10/31/2012

TORONTO, Oct. 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ClearCanvas Inc, an innovative medical imaging informatics company announced today the commercial release of ClearCanvas RIS/PACS, Team Edition, an end-to-end radiology workflow management solution.

"The commercial release of our FDA cleared and CE marked RIS/PACS signifies a critical expansion of the ClearCanvas product offering by providing a fully integrated radiology workflow and data management solution, which is highly attractive to clinics and their referring physicians," comments Norman Young, CEO.

The RIS/PACS is built on the popular ClearCanvas software platform, currently in use by over 25,000 users and partners. The easy to use workflow solution has been designed to enable a practice to efficiently serve patients from the time they walk in the door to the time they receive their results.

With web-based image viewing and the Referring Physician's Portal, it has also been designed for efficient and easy access to both patient images and associated reports. "Customers are looking for an easy to use, integrated RIS/PACS solution to effectively manage the workflow in their practices. The ClearCanvas RIS/PACS does exactly that," says Eric Laperre, CEO of AroWare, a ClearCanvas partner.
