CitiusTech's BI-Clinical Platform for Healthcare BI & Analytics Receives NCQA HEDIS Certification

PRINCETON, New Jersey, May 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

CitiusTech Inc., a leading provider of healthcare technology solutions, has received the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) certification for its BI-Clinical platform.  BI-Clinical has been certified by NCQA for its coverage of all 65 HEDIS 2013 performance measures that cover Effectiveness of Care, Availability of Care, Utilization and Relative Resource Use.

BI-Clinical is one of the most widely used BI and analytics platforms in the healthcare industry, with deployment at 1200+ provider locations across North America. The NCQA HEDIS certification allows BI-Clinical customers and independent software vendor (ISV) partners to easily deploy all 65 HEDIS performance measures and thus accelerate regulatory compliance. The BI-Clinical rules engine contains more than 600 pre-built key performance indicators for a wide range of regulatory reporting needs, including Meaningful Use, PQRS, Joint Commission, ACO Quality, PCMH and VBP, in addition to HEDIS.

"BI-Clinical has been the preferred BI/ Analytics solution for providers and ISVs with its comprehensive coverage of clinical, financial, operational and regulatory performance measures," says Bimal R. Naik , Chief Client Officer at CitiusTech. "The HEDIS certification reaffirms our commitment to delivering best-in-class BI and analytics to healthcare organizations that are quickly moving towards risk based contracts - including ACOs."

HEDIS is the gold standard in health care performance measurement, used by more than 90 per cent of the nation's health plans and many leading employers and regulators, according to NCQA. The NCQA HEDIS certification allows consumers to compare health plan performance to other plans and to national or regional benchmarks, and make effective choices when selecting health plans.
