Importance of cleaning floor drains often underestimated in food safety and
sanitation protocols
ATLANTA, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Recent media coverage of food recalls and outbreaks has consumers concerned about food safety. As a result of the increased scrutiny, many food processors, food retailers, and food service companies are reviewing and revising their cleaning and sanitizing protocols in order to reduce the risk of food contamination.

The environment is also a natural breeding habitat for flies and insects that can transfer Listeria to food and food contact surfaces."
Chemstar Corporation, a global leader in food safety and sanitation
