Charlotte Business Journal Honors Prodigy Diabetes Care, LLC With Fast 50 Award
Date:12/21/2010

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 21, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Charlotte Business Journal has named Prodigy Diabetes Care, LLC (PDC) – an affiliate of Diagnostic Devices Inc. – one of the Charlotte region's fastest growing privately held companies at an awards luncheon held at the Charlotte Convention Center this month.

The Fast 50 award recognizes Charlotte area companies for their leadership, entrepreneurial excellence, and best business practices. PDC received honors for being the seventh fastest growing company according to dollar growth, and fifteenth fastest based on percentage of revenue growth. This award follows Prodigy's recognition as the #1 fastest growing company in 2009.

PDC Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Rick Admani represented the company and is pleased with its growth and this acknowledgement. "It's an honor to accept this award on behalf of all of the employees at Prodigy®, especially considering all of the fine companies recognized in this competition." He added, "Our hard work and passion for excellence have served as the foundation for our success, while providing diabetics around the world with the most high-tech and reliable meters and supplies. We are very optimistic about our continued growth right here in Charlotte."

PDC's quality products and capability of servicing large groups of patients earned the company a sole source contract for glucose meters and test strips for North Carolina Medicaid recipients. PDC has expanded its footprint into other states such as Illinois, Missouri, Arizona, and Pennsylvania, and are currently progressing towards agreements in additional states.

As the diabetic community continues to grow, so does the level of innovation, technology, and manufacturing of PDC products. PDC is focused on improving the lives of all diabetics and will maintain this role and degree of success to service the ever-increasing diabetic population.
