Canada-based Radimetrics Announces Expansion to Scotland
Date:6/19/2012

TORONTO, June 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Radimetrics, headquartered in Toronto has established an office in Scotland to provide a comprehensive system for monitoring and managing patient radiation exposure across imaging modalities to hospitals and imaging centers across the EU.

Radimetrics is widely known for its flagship product, eXposure™, which is a single-system solution that integrates with the existing PACS/RIS system which enables tracking full body, organ-specific and cumulative radiation exposure across all imaging modalities.

eXposure™ provides crucial patient size-adjusted information to improve decision-making among ordering physicians, radiologists, clinical physicists, radiation safety officers, radiographers and others in the radiology workflow, and delivers easy-to-understand patient reports.

eXposure™ has powerful data capture and presentation capabilities to support patient safety, regulatory reporting, quality and utilization management initiatives, IRMER compliance, and referrer and patient satisfaction.

eXposure™ is much more than dose tracking. It is a comprehensive system for monitoring and improving patient safety in medical imaging.

Radimetrics worked closely with Scottish Development International, the country's economic development, trade and inward investment organizations to facilitate the expansion into East Kilbride, Scotland.

"Working with Scottish Development International has allowed Radimetrics to establish a European base for our business where we could find well qualified staff and the right level of government support to help us grow the business both across the UK and the EU," said Catherine McCallum, Chief Operating Officer, Radimetrics in a comment on the recent expansion in Scotland.

Danny Cusick, President, Americas, Scottish Development International said:

"We are honored that Radimetrics made the decision to expand their business to Scotland and join the hundreds of other successful life science companies and research organizations here that have formed the second largest life science cluster in the UK.

"Canada has always been a ripe location for Scottish investment, so we are delighted to see the relationship between Scotland and Canada continue to grow as we welcome this company on Scottish soils."
