Blue Belt Technologies maakt vorming van Wetenschappelijke Heup Adviesraad bekend voor ontwikkeling van volgende NavioPFS-toepassing voor femoroacetabulair impingement

PITTSBURGH, 30 april 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Blue Belt Technologies, Inc., een innovatief medisch technologiebedrijf dat robotoplossingen voor orthopedische chirurgie en andere toepassingen waarbij precisie voorbereiding van botten vereist is op de markt brengt, heeft vandaag de oprichting van een Wetenschappelijke Adviesraad bekendgemaakt dat gericht is op femoroacetabulair impingement ("FAI", oftewel heupinklemming) onder leiding van dr. Robert Buly , dr Struan Coleman en professor David Murray , MD. Deze adviesraad zal belangrijk klinisch inzicht geven in de inspanningen van het bedrijf om robotgeassisteerde technologie voor het operatief behandelen van FAI in de heup te ontwikkelen en te commercialiseren.

Dr. Buly, Associate Attending Orthopedic Surgeon (orthopedisch chirurg) in het Hospital for Special Surgery (Ziekenhuis voor Speciale Chirurgie) in New York, NY, heeft een praktijk gericht op gewrichtsbehoudende operaties voor zowel de heup als de knie. Hij maakt deel uit van het Center for Hip Preservation in het HSS, en als een van de oprichters van de International Society for Hip Arthroscopy (ISHA) is hij een pionier in nieuwe technieken voor de arthroscopische behandeling van heupinklemming. Dr. Buly wordt uitgenodigd om lezingen te houden over de hele wereld om andere chirurgen over zijn technieken te onderwijzen.
