BioDrain Installs Two STREAMWAY Units at Specialty Surgery Center in Sparta, NJ
Date:3/20/2012

MINNEAPOLIS, March 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BioDrain Medical, Inc. (OTCBB: BIOR, OTCQB: BIOR), producer of the FDA cleared STREAMWAY System for automated surgical fluid disposal, announced today that the Company has installed two units of the STREAMWAY System at Specialty Surgery Center in Sparta, NJ.

A STREAMWAY unit was originally placed at the surgery center for product evaluation, however upon completion of the evaluation, Specialty Surgery Center purchased that unit and submitted a purchase order for an additional unit.

Kevin Davidson, CEO of BioDrain, stated, "With these two installations, the STREAMWAY System continues to show its increasing value proposition to the hospital and surgical markets.  The purchase of an additional unit speaks volumes to the System's ease of use, important safety features, and economic and environmental benefits.  We are delighted to see the excitement level around this product continue to rise and are thrilled to partner with such a great organization like Specialty Surgery Center."

About BioDrain Medical, Inc.

BioDrain Medical, Inc. has a fully automated, patented, FDA cleared, surgical fluid disposal system that virtually eliminates operating room workers' exposure to blood, irrigation fluid and other potentially infectious fluids found in the surgical environment. Today's manual surgical fluid handling methods of hand-carrying filled surgical fluid canisters and emptying these canisters is an exposure risk and an antiquated approach to the handling of surgical fluid waste. BioDrain's STREAMWAY System fully automates the collection, measurement and disposal of surgical fluids resulting in: 1) reducing overhead costs to hospitals and surgical centers, 2) improving the Occupational State and Health Association (OSHA) and other regulatory compliance, and 3) improving the efficiency of the operating room (and thereby making surgeries more profitable).
