BioDelivery Sciences to Ring The NASDAQ Stock Market Opening Bell

RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- BioDelivery Sciences International, Inc. (NASDAQ: BDSI) announced that the company will visit the NASDAQ MarketSite in Times Square on September 4, 2014.  In honor of the occasion, Dr. Mark A. Sirgo, President and Chief Executive Officer of BDSI, will ring the opening bell for the trading session that day.

BDSI is marking a year of notable accomplishments, which includes the approval of BUNAVAIL (buprenorphine and naloxone) buccal film for the maintenance treatment of opioid dependence, the completion of two positive Phase 3 studies of BEMA Buprenorphine for chronic pain, and an encouraging outcome in an interim analysis of Clonidine Topical Gel for the treatment of painful diabetic neuropathy. 

BDSI is preparing for the commercialization and launch of BUNAVAIL.  BUNAVAIL is the first and only FDA-approved buccal film formulation of buprenorphine and naloxone and will compete in the $1.7 billion and growing U.S. opioid dependence market.
