Beaver-Visitec International to Focus on Ophthalmic and Microsurgery Products and Services

WALTHAM, Mass., Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Beaver-Visitec International (Beaver-Visitec), a new company formed from the purchase of the ophthalmic systems businesses from BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) and Medtronic, announced today that it will focus solely on products and services for ophthalmic and microsurgery.  Beaver-Visitec brings together the well-established brands of Beaver® Blades, Visitec® Cannulas and Instruments, Merocel® Fluid Control Products, and Wet-Field® Eraser®  Electrosurgery Instruments. Headquartered in Waltham, MA, the new company will continue to concentrate on quality and precision and a dedication to its patients and customers, while strengthening their commitment to product development and investment for innovation and growth.
